Report: Jets Retain Safety Chuck Clark on 1-Year Deal

NFL insider Adam Schefter is reporting that the New York Jets are retaining safety Chuck Clark who missed all of last season.

Previously considered an NFL “iron man” for having played in 49 of 49 games over the previous three seasons, Clark never found his way onto the field as a Jet.  After coming over from Baltimore in an offseason trade, a torn ACL shelved him for the duration of the campaign.

With only Tony Adams under contract at this time, retaining Clark seemed like a no-brainer.  Don’t be surprised if the Jets also come to terms with safety Ashtyn Davis in the near future.
