Jets Land Mike Williams; Receiver Signs 1-Year Deal With Gang Green

Mike Williams is on board as the Jets add another piece to the brand new offensive huddle.  Joe Douglas and company were slated to meet with Williams today

and got a deal done.  It’s a 1-year contract for the free agent according to NFL insider Josina Anderson.

In dire need of a legitimate number two receiver to play opposite Garrett Wilson, Williams gives the Jets a big bodied pass catcher to do just that.  Signing for just one season means Williams is betting on himself to have a big year and get another contract next season.

One would have to imagine that catching passes from Aaron Rodgers played a big role in his decision to head East.
