Jets Release OL Obinna Eze

The New York Jets have announced that they have released offensive lineman Obinna Eze, who spent last season on the team’s practice squad.

The Jets have released OL Obinna Eze.

Eze (6-8, 325) spent the 2024 season on the Green & White’s practice squad.

The TCU product — who began his college career at Memphis — was originally signed by Detroit as an undrafted free agent in 2022 and spent his rookie season on the practice squad. He also had a brief stint with Pittsburgh’s practice squad in 2023 before joining the Jets’ practice squad late in the season. Eze signed a reserve/future contract with the Jets in January and was moved by the team to the NFL’s International Pathway Program in May.

You can read more about this move in our Jets forum. Be sure to check out our Jets Roster page for all the latest developments.

I started JetNation in 2005 and have been a New York Jets season ticket holder since graduating from high school. My dream is to see the New York Jets win the Super Bowl. Until then, I will be right here on JetNation writing, dreaming and talking NY Jets football.
