Justin Fields Injury Update: Day to Day

New York Jets quarterback Justin Fields, who left today’s training camp practice with an apparent toe injury, has fortunately avoided serious damage. Following medical evaluation, the Jets confirmed that Fields sustained a dislocated toe in his right foot and is considered day-to-day.

The injury occurred on the final play of the team period, when Fields checked it down to Mason Taylor. Fields walked off the field with a noticeable limp and was later seen under the medical tent before being carted off. Head coach Aaron Glenn confirmed after practice that Fields injured his toe, but said it was too early to determine the severity. Initial reports from NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero had indicated no fracture, and the team’s official update confirms the less severe diagnosis of a dislocation, meaning Fields has avoided significant missed time.
