The struggling Jets defense got dealt a blow they can little afford as linebacker Quincy Williams has landed on short-term IR. After leaving Sunday’s loss early, head coach Aaron Glenn said the linebacker would undergo further evaluation, which now ends with him missing at least four games.
Williams was one of the few Jets players off to a fast start this season, having already logged 1.5 sacks through three games, putting him on pace to shatter his previous high of three in a new and more aggressive Jets defensive scheme.
With Williams out, the Jets poached linebacker Mark Robinson off of the New England Patriots practice squad.
We wouldn’t be on Robinson having a huge impact, but if we were, we’d be doing it right here where we could do it and land a $300 free chip no deposit offer.
Robinson, a 3-year veteran out of Ole Miss, has appeared in 41 career games (4 starts), appearing mostly on special teams.
You can now add linebacker to a spot where the Jets are thin on defense as they’re down to Jamien Sherwood, Marcelino McCrary-Ball, Kiko Mauigoa and Cam Jones.
Jackson Sirmon and Mykel Walker Walker on the Jets own practice squad so could end up being game day additions but we won’t know that for a few more days.
