New York Jets running back Braelon Allen (0) runs for a touchdown against the Tennessee Titans during their game at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tenn., Sunday, Sept. 15, 2024.
The Jets got some news today about running back Braelon Allen and it appears likely he’ll be heading to injured reserve where he’ll miss several weeks with a sprained MCL. The injury took place on a kick return during last night’s 27-21 loss to the Dolphins.
The Jets will likely look to add a back to take his place and could go the veteran route, but should also consider poaching rookie Donovan Edwards off of the Washington Commanders practice squad. Edwards had an impressive preseason with Gang Green but was squeezed out due to the running back room being fully stocked.
