Jets add More Muscle up Front, Sign DT David Onyemata

It’s clear that New York Jets head coach Aaron Glenn didn’t enjoy watching his team get gashed in the run game week after week in 2025, so  Gang Green went out added add free agent defensive tackle David Onyemata.

The former Atlanta Falcon will join T’Vondre Sweat, DeMario Davis, Joseph Ossai and Kingsley Enagbare to beef up a revamped defensive front that was mauled on the ground.

A ten-year veteran with 154 games under his belt (115 starts), Onyemata graded out as a top ten defensive tackle against the run last season.  He racked up 28 stops with a run stop grade of 78.2, good enough for eight in the NFL among DT’s with at least 200 reps against the run.

Onyemata’s deal is for 1-year/$10.5 million with $9.6 guaranteed.
