The Jets have made a move at the bottom of the defensive tackle depth chart by signing undrafted free agent Ben Barten after parting ways with rookie long snapper Garrison Grimes.
It seems no two outlets have Barten’s weight the same but Gang Green’s official site lists him at 330 pounds while others have him just under 320. Either way, bringing in a high effort player at a crowded position group but until T’Vondre Sweat is at full speed, it makes sense.
The release of Grimes means that as expected, Thomas Hennessy wins the very brief long snapper battle.
