Jets Release Running Back Ty Johnson With Non-Football Injury Designation

The Jets have release running back Ty Johnson win a non-football injury designation according to NFL insider Field Yates.

Johnson joined the Jets in 2020 after a stint with the Detroit Lions and served as a backup running back and kick returner.  Last season, Johnson carried the ball 30 times for 160 yards and a touchdown while hauling in 12 passes for 88 yards.

The Jets re-signed Johnson earlier on March 28th but now the former Maryland product will be moving on.
