Eric Decker Will Not Play and Other Inactives

Eric Decker’s nagging hamstring injury will keep him off the field tonight in a possibly pivotal game for the Jets. Decker’s injury began in training camp and has been a problem since week 2 against the Packers. Decker may be keeping the fact that the Jets play the Broncos, his former team, next Sunday in mind.

The Inactives for today’s game are: Eric Decker, Chris Owusu, Dakota Dozier, Ben Ijalana, Kenrick Ellis, TJ Barnes, AJ Edds

Along with Eric Decker, new WR acquisition Chris Owusu will be inactive for today’s game. After former 4th round pick Jalen Saunders was cut the Jets signed both TJ Graham and Chris Owusu. Graham will see the field tonight for the first time as a Jet.

Linebacker Ikemefuna “IK” Enemkpali will be active for the first time in the regular season, although AJ Edds will remain inactive for today’s game. Many Jet fans will be waiting to see if IK will get a chance to make an impact in today’s game after having such an impressive preseason.

Strangely both Kenrick Ellis, and TJ Barnes will be inactive for today’s game. That means there will be no backup for Damon Harrison.

Both Dakota Dozier and Ben Ijalana will be inactive again for today’s game. This comes as no surprise since the two strongest areas for the Jets are the defensive, and offensive line.

Dee Milliner will play today, and all eyes will be on him. Milliner struggled mightily the one week he played in the regular season against the Packers. Milliner was limited, but got burned on more than one play. The Jets will need all the help they can get in what could be seen as a must-win game.
