Perine and Ficken Head to IR; Josh Adams and Ross Travis Added to Roster

With rookie running back LaMical Perine suffering a high ankle sprain in Sunday’s loss to the San Diego Chargers, the Jets have placed Perine and place kicker Sam Ficken on injured reserve, meaning they’ll miss at least three weeks according to Rich Cimini

of ESPN.

Perine and Ficken were replaced by running back Josh Adams and tight end Ross Travis.  This will also open the door for the return of Sergio Castillo who kicked in place of Ficken in the weeks leading up to Sunday’s game agaisnt the Chargers, hitting on six of seven field goal attempts with a long of 55 yards.
