The New York Jets have extended the contracts of Head Coach Rex Ryan and General Manager Mike Tannenbaum. The pair are now under contract through 2014. The team announced the moves today as they prepare to start training camp next week.
As per Adam Schefter on Twitter:
Mike Tannenbaum signed a five-year extension and Rex Ryan signed a two-year extension. Both now under contract through 2014.
That is a pretty large commitment from the NY Jets; specifically Woody Johnson. On the heels of a season filled with high expectations, Rex Ryan and Mike Tannenbaum must be happy to know they have safety for the next few seasons.
