Jets Agree To Deal With Nick Folk

by Phil Sullivan on July 27, 2011

According to Chuck E. Vine on Facebook, NY Jets free agent kicker Nick Folk has agreed to a new contract with the Jets.  Folk won’t be able to officially sign the deal until Friday.  Folk had a 76.9% (30 of 39) accuracry rate last season with his longest field goal coming from 56 yards.  He was perfect on extra points for the year.

Many Jets fans have expressed concern with Folk’s consistency.  Remember that he is still a young kicker, he enters this season as a 27 year old.  He is still getting better and other than his third year in Dallas he has been a good kicker in this league.

See what Jets fans are saying about this move in the Jets Nation forum.

I started JetNation in 2005 and have been a New York Jets season ticket holder since graduating from high school. My dream is to see the New York Jets win the Super Bowl. Until then, I will be right here on JetNation writing, dreaming and talking NY Jets football.
