Kellen Winslow Suspended

by Phil Sullivan on October 11, 2013

Kellen Winsow has been suspended for violating the NFL policy on performance enhancing substances.  The NFL released a statement about Kellen Winslow.

STATEMENT BY AN NFL SPOKESPERSON ON KELLEN WINSLOW

Kellen Winslow of the New York Jets has been suspended without pay for four games for violating the NFL policy on performance enhancing substances.

Winslow’s suspension begins immediately. He will be eligible to return to the Jets’ active roster on Monday, November 4 following the team’s November 3 game against the New Orleans Saints.

The impact of losing Kellen Winslow will be minimized if Jeff Cumberland can build upon his performance against the Falcons.  On Monday night Cumberland had 4 catches for 79 yards with a touchdown.  His average reception was 26.3 yards.  You can read more about this in our New York Jets forum.
