The NY Jets have announced that 4th round draft pick Shaq Evans was placed on I.R. and will be lost for the season.

Rex Ryan spoke about the injury.
He did have shoulder surgery today. So again, it’s just one of those things that just didn’t get better. We kind of give you time and all that. It was the best thing to do for that young man and (he) had the surgery and hopefully he’ll be able to come back and be ready to roll next season.
He had a shoulder (injury) before, but this one was worse. He recognizes these things because he’s had shoulder (injuries) before, but he said this one felt worse and it just never got better to where he could go out and play.
