The Atlanta Falcons play in the NFC South, playing their home games in the Georgia Dome. The Falcons joined the NFL as a 1966 expansion team. In their 41 years of existence, the Falcons have compiled a record of 258-374-6 with division championships in 1980, 1998 and 2004, and appeared in Super Bowl XXXIII in Miami, Florida, losing 34-19 to the Denver Broncos.

Their record against the Jets is 5-4 in favor of the Falcons.
