Anthony Clement
Offensive Lineman Anthony George Clement was an offensive lineman for the New York Jets from 2006-07.


Background and college

Born April 10, 1976 in Lafayette, Louisiana, Clement attended Cecilia High School in Cecilia, Louisiana and was a letterman in football and track & field. In football, he was a starting defensive tackle and won All-District 6A honors, and All-Louisiana Class AAA honors. Clement attended the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.

NFL Career

Before the Jets

Clement was selected by the Arizona Cardinals in the second round (36th overall) of the 1998 NFL Draft. After seven seasons with the Cardinals, Clement spent a season in San Francisco.

As a Jet

In 2006, Clement was signed as a free agent by the Jets. During his two years with the Jets, he started 32 regular-season games and one postseason game.

After the Jets

On March 4, 2008, Clement was cut by the Jets.
