Chris Davis is a wide receiver for the New York Jets.


Background and college

Born December 1, 1983 in Atlanta, Georgia, Davis attended Wake Forest, where he studied business. His best college season was in 2003 when he registered 249 yards and a touchdown on 19 receptions. In 2005, he caught 23 passes for 220 yards and a touchdown.

Pro Career

Before the Jets

Davis spent portions of the past two seasons with the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League, spending a large part of the season on their practice squad, but still managing nine catches for 83 yards

As a Jet

Davis was originally signed by the Jets as a rookie free agent July 26, 2007, waived Sept. 1 and signed to the practice squad Sept. 3. He was then released from the practice squad Oct. 25, but resigned on Oct 29. On Nov 3, Davis was signed to the Jets' active roster.
