- 1977: The NFL and NFLPA agreed on a contract for the first time in three years. The contract extended five years and contained a modified draft.
- 1991: Mark Gastineau pleads guilty to a reduced charge stemming from a 1991 drug-possession arrest. He is later sentenced to three years of probation and fined $1,400.
