Jason Trusnik is a linebacker for the New York Jets.
Background and college
Born June 6, 1984 in Macedonia, Ohio, Trusnik was a two-time Division III All-American and a two-time All-Ohio Athletic Conference first-team selection who ended the 2006 season with 60 tackles and team-highs of 11 sacks and 19.5 tackles for loss. He is ONU’s all-time career leader with 43 sacks and 85 tackles for loss.
NFL Career
As a Jet
Trusnik signed with the Jets as an undrafted rookie free agent out of Ohio Northern on May 12, 2007. He was waived Sept. 1 and signed to the practice squad Sept. 3. He was named the Jets' practice player of the week after the Week 3 victory over Miami. On November 17, after Stacy Tutt was placed on IR, Trusnik was signed to the active squad.
