Darrelle Revis just seems to be one of the players that gets the balance. He obviously has the right to work towards securing his financial future and get a new contract. With his play on the field he has more than earned that. Unfortunately it is common that these matters get handled in public.
Once again though Revis proved that he is a shut down corner. Last week he stopped attending the OTA workouts. He was back with the team today and basically shut down any talk of a possible training camp holdout.
Good job by Camp Revis and the Jets as well for working together and handling things quietly. Even though a new contract hasn’t been reached yet, it is nice to see that there is a level of trust there. As the Jets prepare for what many fans hope will be a Championship season, that trust between the players and front office could prove to be very important.
