Shonn Greene Press Conference – 9/15/2010
On Wednesday New York Jets running back Shonn Greene addressed the media. Here are his comments courtesy of the Jets.
On if he expected to be taken out of the game after he fumbled…
“I pretty much expected it. During the preseason, we had problems with turnovers and fumbles. They pretty much said if you fumble, you’ll be out of the game.”
On where his confidence is now after Monday’s game…
“I’m good now. I just can’t wait to play Sunday to try and have some positive (things). I’m good. My teammates are behind me (and so is) the coaching staff.”
On if he felt he was to blame for the loss on Monday at all…
“Yeah, I took that loss on my shoulders. That was a key moment in the game, that fumble, and then it turned into a touchdown for Baltimore. I put that pretty much on my shoulders.”
On if the team gave him words of encouragement…
“Yeah, of course. This team is a family, so I got that from all directions, coaches, the players, so I’m good.”
On if he thinks New England will be looking to force fumbles from him on Sunday…
“I think every NFL team is going to do that. They’ll be prepared for it and I’ll be prepared, as well.”
