On Tuesday the NFL announced that New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez has been nominated for the Fedex Air NFL Player of the Week award. Sanchez, who will be competing against the Colts Peyton Manning and the Eagles Michael Vick, threw for 256 yards with 3 touchdowns in the Jets Sunday night victory over the Dolphins.
