Jets sign DE Trevor Pryce; Waive Green

On Thursday the New York Jets announced that the team has signed free agent defensive end Trevor Pryce.  Pryce, who was released by the Baltimore Ravens on Wednesday, will be reunited with Rex Ryan who was his defensive coordinator while in Baltimore.

This move makes sense for the Jets as their defensive front has been banged up with injuries.  Pryce will help with the Jets pass rush, which has been a problem for Gang Green especially on third down.

In order to sign Pryce, the team released defensive tackle Howard Green.  Green was signed by the Jets on September 15th, and forced a fumble against the Dolphins.  I would not be surprised to see Green re-signed by the Jets on Monday.
