On Thursday the New York Jets announced that they have waived defensive tackle Jarron Gilbert. Gilbert (DT/6-5/285/San Jose State/New Orleans, LA) was signed to the Jets active roster on October 27, 2010, after initially signing to the Jets practice squad on September 7, 2010.
The Jets are reportedly signing wide receiver Patrick Turner from the practice squad to the active roster to add some depth with the absence of Jerricho Cotchery (injured groin).
