Reports have surfaced that the Jets are interested in Baltimore Ravens’ free agent linebacker Jameel McClain (26), which is considered a no brainer given his background. McClain played under Rex Ryan and is familiar with the Jets defensive system, has started 31 games with 89 tackles during the last two seasons and can play multiple roles at inside or outside backer.

A player with McClain’s versatility would provide some much needed depth at an ageing linebacker position.
