Updating a previous report that the Jets were considering a repeat performance on the HBO series Hard Knocks, Bob Raissman reported yesterday

that the Jets won’t be on the show this year.

This is good news for the Jets, if Rex Ryan was against the move the Jets need to respect that. Football people should make football decisions.  The show is attractive from a business and marketing perspective.  Since the goal is winning the Super Bowl, football people having the final say is the right call.

The season predictions at BetFirms will have the Jets as one of the favorites to win the Super Bowl regardless of if they appear on Hard Knocks or not.

Here is a discussion thread on the topic from our New York Jets message board.

Phil Sullivan

I started JetNation in 2005 and have been a New York Jets season ticket holder since graduating from high school. My dream is to see the New York Jets win the Super Bowl. Until then, I will be right here on JetNation writing, dreaming and talking NY Jets football.
