players some of which included WR Mardy Gilyard, QB Matt Simms, DT Darrell Scott, WR Preston Parker and WR DeMarco Sampson, many who had spent some time with the Jets in camp.Later in the day, the Jets signed Gilyard to replace WR Clyde Gates who had suffered some concussions and will be missing some games.
