Welcome Back Brady Quinn

In a move that isn’t a surprise, the Jets resigned QB Brady Quinn today.  Once it became clear that Matt Simms was going to be the backup for the week one matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, it seemed very likely that the Jets would temporarily cut Quinn.  By not having him on the week on roster they ensured that his contract is not guaranteed for the season.  Now they can simply pay him for the weeks that he is on the roster.

How long Quinn will be around depends on the status of Mark Sanchez.  We will keep you posted.
