Sudfeld Clears Waivers, Back to Jets and on IR

By Glenn Naughton

The New York Jets have announced that after clearing waivers, tight end Zach Sudfeld is returning to the team and will be placed on Injured Reserve.

The 6′ 7” tight end was injured during mandatory minicamp last week when he was hit by safety Calvin Pryor during non-contact drills.  Sudfeld was in the running for the number three TE spot on the roster.

Following the injury, the Jets signed tight end Steve Maneri.
