Jets’ Cromartie has Knee Sprain

By Glenn Naughton

Adam Schefter is reporting that New York Jets cornerback Antonio Cromartie suffered a sprained knee in the team’s season-opening 31-10 victory over the Cleveland Browns.

The Jets and their fans had feared the worst and anticipated an ACL injury that would have put Cromartie on the shelf for the duration of the season.

As it stands now, the Jets should have the star cornerback in their line-up much sooner than expected.
