Report: Jets to Sign Matt Forte

Well, that didn’t take long.  Less than 24 hours after learning of Chris Ivory’s departure to Jacksonville, Adam Schefter is now reporting that Gang Green is expected to sign Bears free agent running back Matt Forte.

Matt Forte is signing with the NY Jets, per source.

If true, the move comes as a stunner to most onlookers who counted the Jets out in having any chance to add any big-name free agents this early on as they had just $6.7 million in cap room.

Parameters of the deal are unknown at this time.
