The Jets got some relatively good news regarding running back Elijah McGuire who had foot surgery following the team’s first practice of the year earlier this week.
Jets’ RB Elijah McGuire will undergo surgery on his broken foot this week and is expected to be out 3-6 weeks, per source.

With the season still roughly six weeks away, McGuire is expected to miss 3-6 weeks. With that being the case, the Jets could keep McGuire on the active roster as opposed to using a short-term IR designation.
