Report: Doug Middleton out for Season

Adding injury to insult, the Jets got some bad news off the heels of their 37-17 loss

to the Minnesota Vikings in regards to second-string safety Doug Middleton.

According to Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News, Middleton suffered a torn pectoral muscle in the loss and will be out for the season.  This will mean Terrence Brooks, the team’s number three safety, will likely be called upon to start while Marcus Maye recovers from a broken thumb.
