Report: Jets Could cut Ties With Gase as Early as Monday

Adam Gase

Take this one with a grain of salt, folks.  NFL reporter Jason LaCanfora, who seems to have infinitely more misses than hits when it comes to these types of things, claims that a loss to the Browns today could lead to Adam Gase’s firing tomorrow.

Almost a moot point as Gase is sure to be fired no more than 8 days from today, but still newsworthy if true.

Gase has led the team to what is likely to be the worst performance in team history, has failed to develop quarterback Sam Darnold who has regressed on what feels like a weekly basis, and found a way to blame the defense for his team’s 32nd ranked offense.

A loss to the Browns would drop the Jets to 1-15 but a firing would not be insignificant as it would allow the Jets to start interviewing potential replacements one week earlier.
