Becton Calls for More Mims via Twitter

As if the Jets coaching staff doesn’t have enough to worry about.  Now it looks as if one of their best and most popular players has jumped on board with Jets fans who have been screaming for the team to play wide receiver Denzel Mims.

Left tackle Mekhi Becton who was watching the Jets offense flounder from back on the east coast fired off a simple two-word tweet; “UNLEASH MIMS”.

This of course aligns perfectly with the thoughts and cries from Jets fans in recent weeks who have been screaming for the Jets and their putrid offense to get some targets for the 2020 second-round pick for whom Mike LaFleur appears to have little time.

Once Mims did get a look yesterday, he hauled in two passes for 33 yards, giving him 3 receptions for 73 yards on the season, an average of 24 yards per catch.

How this goes over with LaFleur and head coach Robert Saleh remains to be seen.
