Jets add Bam Knight, two Others to Practice Squad; Calvin Jackson Released Again

With the start of the NFL season just a few days away, Jets GM Joe Douglas isn’t done tinkering with his practice squad.  As expected, the GM brought back running back Zonovan “Bam” Knight.  The fan favorite was let go just a couple of days ago but lands back in Green and White for the time being.

Douglas also brought in another tackle in Eric Smith along with wide receiver Diontae Spencer.  As a return man for the Broncos from 2019-2021, Spencer averaged 9.8 yards per return on punts and 21.8 YPR in the kick return game.  Smith spent a short time with the Jets back in 2018 as well.  He’ll join the recently re-signed Conor McDermott as depth along the offensive line.

To make room on the practice squad, the Jets let go of wide receiver Calvin Jackson and linebacker DQ Thomas.
