Fowler: Derek Carr Leaning Toward Jets After Team Makes Strong Impression

While the Jets continue playing chicken with Aaron Rodgers, it seems the team’s second choice, Derek Carr, may have the Jets atop his own list.

NFL insider Jeremy Fowler is reporting that Derek Carr, who has had two visits

with the Jets thus far has a “slight lean” toward Gang Green after the team “made an impression” during their time with the signal caller.

With no competent QB on the roster and a top five defense, the Jets have essentially promised the fan base that all efforts will be made to add a veteran quarterback for 2023.  Rodgers’ future is up in the air as he drags out a decision on what to do in 2023, but there are those who feel the the Jets are the front runner to add the future hall of famer.

With Carr wanting the Jets and the Jets preferring Rodgers, it could be an interesting week and a half as free agency approaches as it is believed that Carr’s preference is to sign before free agency kicks off.
