Jets Re-Work CJ Uzomah Deal to Free up cap Space

CJ Uzomah and the Jets appear be clearing a bit of cap space as the team takes their best shot at adding Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers.  Tom Pelissero is reporting that Joe Douglas and the Jets have re-worked Uzomah’s deal to free up $3.6 million in cap space.

The Jets are tight against the cap while they talk shop with Rodgers about possibly coming on board for the 2023 season.  As it stands, the Jets are just $1.8 million under the cap to start the day.  If acquired, Rodgers would carry a cap hit of just under $16 million this season barring a re-worked deal.
