Quincy Williams inks new Three Year Deal With Gang Green

Quinnen Williams might be the big fish Jets fans are focusing on at the moment, it’s his brother, Quincy Williams, who Joe Douglas has wrapped up with a brand new contract.

The deal is for three years and $18 million but could max out at $21 million.

It’s a fair market value deal for Williams who started 15 games last season and racked up 106 tackles (12 for loss) and 3 sacks.  It marks the second season in a row in which Williams has topped the 100 tackle mark, picking up 110 the previous season.

Even with Williams being retained, the Jets may still look to add a linebacker come draft time as there is little experience outside of Williams and middle linebacker CJ Mosley.

The Jets could opt to retain Kwon Alexander whose future is up in the air following a suggestion that he may be ready and willing to move on in free agency.
