Mekhi Becton Play Improving; How Close is Jets 2022 Draft Class to “Perfect”?

After making some controversial comments about his employers that could not have been well received a 1 Jets Drive earlier this off-season, Mekhi Becton looks to be trying to mend some fences.

Having previously said his season ending knee injury last year was down to Gang Green coaches ignoring his claims of discomfort in his knee, Becton now claims the injury may have been the result of not having chosen the best medical procedure to fix his dislocated knee cap.

In addition, Becton also looks to be turning things around on the field as he shakes off what is essentially two full seasons of rust.  Onlookers in Florham Park have echoed the sentiments of head coach Robert Saleh who says Becton has put together several good practices in a row, but also stressed the importance of Becton staying on the field.

Another name we’ve been hearing a fair bit in recent weeks is that of tight end Jeremy Ruckert.  Of the seven players picked in last year’s class, Ruckert was the lone pick not to have an impact in his rookie season.  Should Ruckert find his way in year two while the others continue to develop, GM Joe Douglas will have achieved the near impossible feat of going a perfect seven for seven in the 2022 draft.
