Kicker Wanted; Zuerlein Downgraded to OUT for Dallas Matchup

Some bad news for the Jets today as kicker Greg Zuerlein has been downgraded to “out” by the team according to their official page.  This leaves the Jets without a kicker for the time being.

Zuerlein injured his groin at the end of practice two days ago which led the Jets to auditioning a trio of kickers at 1 Jets Drive.  The list included Matthew Wright, Austin Seibert and Caleb Shudak.

Shudak went 3-4 as a field goal kicker for the Titans last season while Seibert has been good on 80% (44-55) of his kicks for Browns, Lions and Bengals dating back to 2019.  Wright has been the best of the group as a pro, connection on 87% of his field goal attempts in stops with the Steelers, Jags and Chiefs.
