Jets set to Trot out Seventh Different OL Combo vs Bills

In what’s starting to begin to feel like a bad weekly sports trivia contest, Jets fans are left guessing what Gang Green’s offensive line will look like this week.  With Xavier Newman not on the active roster, the team will likely be starting either Chris Glaser or newly added Jake Hanson

at right guard.

This will be the Jets seventh different lineup combination up front in just their 11th game.  The baffling number of different groups the Jets have used thus far was also a topic on our latest episode of JetNation live.

Newman had previously filled in at both center and guard when injuries to Joe Tippmann and Wes Schweitzer hit.  With Tippmann back, Newman started at right guard last week but the team will go in another direction against the Bills.

It’s not just the O-line that’s being impacted by injuries either.  Wide receiver Garrett Wilson says he’ll play, but he’ll be doing so with a balky elbow that clearly bothered him last week and had him listed as questionable on the Jets injury report.
