Jeff Ulbrich Getting Senior Bowl nod Could be big for Jets

The New York Jets may have just caught a major break in their prep for the NFL draft as defensvie coordinator Jeff Ulbrich has been named head coach for the National team at this year’s Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama.

No stranger to the Senior Bowl, Ulbrich played in the game as a college prospect and was on the Jets staff just a few short years ago when the game used entire coaching staffs from one club.  Nowadays, the game’s coaches are comprised of individual coaches from multiple teams around the league.

Having any coach at all in Mobile could give that coach’s employer some inside info on prospects.  In the case of Ulbrich, as the head coach, he’ll be able to keep a close eye on prospects working in every aspect of the game.
