May 15, 2024 – The NFL has officially announced the 2024 NY Jets schedule. This year, the Jets are scheduled to for six primetime games and will close out their regular season at home for the first time since 2016. The season kicks off with a high-profile game against the reigning NFC Champions, the San Francisco 49ers, on Monday, September 9, at 8:15 p.m. ET on ABC/ESPN.
The first two games are on the road (49ers, Titans) then head back home to play the Patriots and Broncos. The Jets will close out the season at home vs. the Miami Dolphins.
The Jets will open their preseason at home against the Washington Commanders, a first for the franchise. They’ll then travel to Carolina for another preseason showdown with the Panthers before concluding with their traditional rivalry game against the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium.

Starting the season on the road for Monday Night Football against San Francisco marks the second year in a row for the Jets. This year’s opener is historic, as it’s the first time the Jets have started consecutive seasons on Monday night. Their last Monday night season opener on the road was against the Panthers in 2021. Since 2000, the Jets have fared well in season-opening road games, with a 6-5 record, their latest win being in Detroit in 2018.
