Okay, let’s be very clear about this Aaron Rodgers quote in regards to the agent for Haason Reddick and whether or not the edge rusher has fired his reps.
Rodgers may have misspoken or been referring to an agent from an earlier time, but while appearing on the Pat McAfee show, Rodgers sure did sound as if he was suggesting Reddick has in fact fired his agent.
While being asked by McAfee about an anonymous quote from earlier this month claiming disorder at 1 Jets Drive due to Rodgers’ presence, Rodgers had this to say.
“I didn’t read the story, but just reading that headline there it sounds like it was written by Haason Reddick’s agent” before a brief pause and adding “Former agent I guess, possibly”. That will certainly raise some eyebrows. The full clip from the Rodgers interview is right here.
If Rodgers is on the money with this quote, it’s huge news for the Jets as it means a huge shift for their disgruntled edge rusher who has lost millions of dollars that he won’t make back with his next (or any) deal.
