Last week, it was all about the New York Jets’ team futures as we prepare for the new season. This week, RB Breece Hall and WR Garrett Wilson take center stage.
Yet again, the two young stars project to be the focal points of the offense. For Hall, this season is a chance to prove he’s worth big bucks before becoming an unrestricted free agent. For Wilson, he’s out to show the fans and organization that he’s worth every penny of his $130 million contract.
Let’s dive into each player’s yards and TD totals, once again sourced from the top sports betting sites in New York. All odds are subject to change before the regular season kicks off.
Breece Hall
It’s known that Breece Hall’s numbers dipped across the board, as his yards per carry and rushing yards per game were both career lows in 2024. Despite that, clearing his overs in 2025 should be a breeze if he plays all 17 games.
Total Rushing Yards
Most sportsbooks have Breece Hall’s total rushing yards set at 900.5 yards. His rookie year was cut short, but Hall got halfway to that mark in seven games. In 2023, Hall was six yards shy of 1,000 rushing yards.
Last season, Breece Hall finished shy of 900 rushing yards with his team-leading 876. However, if he played in all 17 games, he probably would’ve topped 900 rushing yards a year ago.
Entering this season, where there’s supposed to be a new run-heavy offense and Hall is fighting for a new contract, his chances of topping 900 rushing yards again seem likely. Health will be the greatest obstacle.

Total Rushing TDs
When it comes to strictly rushing touchdowns, Breece Hall is coming off consecutive five-score campaigns. Most sportsbooks have his total set at 5.5 rushing TDs this season, so he’ll need a single-season high to beat the over.
Some good news for this bet is the schedule. The Jets have six games against teams that finished in the bottom 10 in rushing TDs allowed a year ago. That doesn’t include two battles with the Patriots, who coughed up the 10th-most rushing yards and one of Hall’s rushing touchdowns in 2024.
There were 32 players with at least six rushing scores a year ago, and Hall could hit that total in 2025.

Garrett Wilson
Garrett Wilson has defined himself as a playmaker and was rewarded handsomely for years of strong receiver work. Last year was Wilson’s best yet in terms of receptions, receiving yards, and receiving TDs. Let’s see if he can continue being a weapon with yet another QB delivering him the ball.
Total Receiving Yards
Sports betting sites are either at 925.5 or 950.5 total receiving yards for Garrett Wilson this year. Either way, those numbers are insultingly low for a guy who has eclipsed 1,000 receiving yards in each of his professional seasons.
Even if the new offense is run-first, it is still the 2020s. Teams have to throw the ball at some point, and Wilson will be the focal point whenever the Jets need to drop back.
The world has seen Garrett Wilson succeed with several different QBs. This feels too easy.

Total Receiving TDs
Finding the endzone is where the QB play is much more of a factor.
Of Wilson’s 14 career receiving scores, six of them came from Aaron Rodgers last year. Wilson also caught a 2024 TD during one of Tyrod Taylor’s relief appearances. Half of his career TD receptions were during the year when he had the most stable QB room.
In Wilson’s first two seasons, he combined for seven touchdown catches from four different quarterbacks.
A positive is that Wilson was good enough to score with Joe Flacco, Mike White, Zach Wilson, and Tim Boyle commanding the offense. However, that illustrates how much competent QB play affects a WR’s TD totals.
Taking Wilson to catch at least five touchdowns again is as much a bet on Justin Fields as it is on Garrett Wilson.
