Injuries Mounting for Jets With Presason Opener Approaching

Aaron Glenn

When Jets head coach Aaron Glenn met with the media at the end of practice today, he had quite the list of injuries to recap.

In all the Jets lost five players over the course of today’s session with both sides of the ball being impacted.

DT Byron Cowart: A potential starter next to Quinnen Williams who was added in free agency, Cowart left the field today with what Aaron Glenn simply called “an ankle”.

CB Azareye’h Thomas: Thomas broke up a pass before falling to the ground and injuring his shoulder.

TE Mason Taylor: The rookie tight end has a high ankle sprain that will shut him down for the rest of the week leading up to their meeting with the Green Bay Packers.

QB Tyrod Taylor: The veteran backup quarterback is being evaluated for a knee injury.

DE Will McDonald: McDonald was sidelined as he deals with back spasms.
