The New York Jets continue to add to their defensive front as the NFL legal tampering period gets underway. They are reported to have signed Joseph Ossai and now, according to NFL insider Jordan Schultz, the Jets are signing former Green Bay Packers defensive lineman Kingsley Enagbare.
Schultz reported the move on X.
“Sources: Former #Packers DL Kingsley Enagbare will sign with the #Jets for $10M.” – Jordan Schultz
Enagbare spent the first part of his NFL career with the Green Bay Packers after being selected in the fifth round of the 2022 NFL Draft out of South Carolina. Known for his motor and physical style of play, Enagbare has been part of Green Bay’s defensive line rotation while contributing as both an edge defender and interior rusher in certain packages.
The reported deal gives the Jets another versatile defensive lineman as they continue building depth along the front. New York needs to emphasize a strong defensive line rotation, and Enagbare’s ability to play multiple roles could make him a useful piece in that approach.
As with all agreements during the legal tampering window, the deal cannot become official until the start of the new NFL league year.
The Jets have already been active early in the free agency negotiation period, and additional moves could be on the way as the team continues shaping its roster for the upcoming season.
