The Jets have continued with their voluntary Organized Team Activities (OTAs) this week and today’s practice was open to the media. Here are some of the highlights:
Second round draft pick wide receiver Stephen Hill continues to impress after making an acrobatic 50 yard catch from Tim Tebow.

Another rookie Quinton Coples has been showing why the Jets used the No.16 pick on him as he stood out in practice getting a quarterback pressure and batting down a pass.

Mark Sanchez marches the offense down the field in 11-on-11 two minute drill but drive stalls as running back Joe McKnight can’t handle an errant throw.

Wide receiver Santonio Holmes did not attending OTA’s because he is in Germany meeting with the troops. This commitment kept Holmes out of last week’s OTAs as well.
Holmes still in Germany, according to team. Long trip. Maybe he's looking for Berlin wall. #Jets— Rich Cimini (@RichCimini) May 31, 2012
Safety LaRon Landry was a no-show at OTAs and has not participated in any voluntary workouts. Seems likely he won’t be around until mandatory mini-camp, June 12-14.
The Jets remaining OTAs and mini-camp: June 1, June 4, June 6-7; mandatory min-camp (June 12-14).
Today is Hall of Fame and Jets Super Bowl winning quarterback Joe Namath’s 69th birthday.
